Public Worship To Resume On 5th July

After meeting this morning (1st July), we are pleased to announce that church will be open this Sunday (5th July) for worship at 11am.

In order to comply with Government guidelines and to ensure we keep people as safe as possible, there will be some restrictions in place. When you come in the door there will be hand sanitiser for everyone to use. We would ask that people observe all the usual rules on social distancing, and that if you wish to chat to people you used the garden to help with this.

There will be a limit on how many people we can safely fit in the building with pews limited to two people or a family/bubble group. Once we have reached capacity we will unfortunately be unable to let any more people in. In line with Government advice regarding track and trace, we will be keeping a register of those who attend worship.

If you are in a vulnerable group we would advise you to continue to keep to the Government guidelines for your group.

Inevitably there will be changes to our regular service patterns. We will continue to Live stream our Sunday worship on Facebook, as well as Morning Prayer at 10am on Tuesdays, and our Facebook Family Service at 3pm on Saturdays. Our midweek Holy Communion using the traditional language of the Book of Common Prayer will move into church on Wednesdays at 10am.
Our telephone service will continue with Morning Prayer every Sunday from 9:30pm.

If you have any questions, queries or comments please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Our Facebook page can be found here.

This week's sermon can be downloaded here

Our new telephone service of Morning Prayer is available from 9:30am on Sundays. Dial 01325 527446 to listen to a pre-recorded service from the team here at St Matthew and St Luke Darlington, and St Michael's, Heighington. Calls are charged at your standard rate.

Services will be available for a few days afterwards if you miss these times.
We will be using the prayer booklets which have already been sent to members of the congregation. Extra copies are available here
